Business Development Trainee is expected to:

  • Prospect for new clients by networking, advertising or other means of generating interest from clients
  • Understand a prospect’s business needs and work with the expert teams to develop a tailored digital marketing proposal
  • Plan persuasive approaches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company
  • Strategic planning is the key to the role and requires a thorough knowledge of the market
  • Maintaining efficient business relationships with existing partners to enhance profitability of business operations
  • Respond to incoming requests for information (RFIs), Requests for proposals (RFPs) in a professional and creative manner
  • Can handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to positive conclusion; the solutions/services the company can provide; write reports; and provide feedback to the reporting manager.
